I've been reading a review copy of England (the benefits of having a friend with a bookshop...) and it's as beautiful as all your others. I can't thank you enough for everything you written about nature - your books are my happy place when I need to escape for a bit. I've just booked a ticket for your event in Bracknell - really looking forward to it!
I shall be sorry to see no new nature books from you. Your nature writing has been both comfort and inspiration to me from Meadowland to (when it is published) England, A Natural History. I enjoy history too so you won't become a stranger, but I'd like to say thank you for the reading pleasure you have given me over the years. My favourite is Nightwalking, and if that was the only book of yours that I had read, I would still be happy. Look forward to seeing the 'new' publications.
